2006 Population and Economic Study
The Population and Economic Study is a survey of 2006 base year and projected land use patterns in the metropolitan area. Base year data and projections are delineated by Transportation Analysis Zones (TAZ). Each TAZ is based closely on census block groups, and TAZ borders follow real boundary divisions wherever possible (such as streets, railroads, and utility lines). The entire transportation planning area and Cumberland County were analyzed. The base year data was collected in the year 2005 by Fayetteville Area MPO staff, and was analyzed in conjunction with NCDOT Statewide Planning staff.
The Population and Economic Study was produced for the purpose of long-range transportation planning. The projections herein are estimates. Any other use of this information is the sole liability of the end user and not at the responsibility of the Fayetteville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.
